Located in Santa Maria, Better Cooling is a two-story, 54,000 square foot building that features office space as well as specifically designed facilities for cooling, packaging, shipping and receiving. Better Cooling stores and cools its own strawberries, which it grows on over 600 acres of farmland in Nipomo and Santa Maria. Also located on the property is another metal building built for Robert Mann Packaging, a manufacturer of corrugated cardboard boxes and cartons for strawberry packing for other strawberry growers in the Santa Maria Valley. Strawberries produced by Better Cooling are shipped to the Wal-Mart distribution center in Riverside, California for distribution through the US.
