Preconstruction

Preconstruction

When you work with Rarig Construction you get a licensed contractor giving you real cost figures before the plans are complete instead of an architect giving you estimates that are not accurate. Our company works with yours to identify your needs and provide solutions that will effect design, performance and cost. We can offer you design and engineering choices to keep the job within budget. This helps you arrive at realistic cost figures and establishes a construction budget before the plans are completed and it is too late.

Preconstruction services are used in planning a construction project before the actual construction begins. This is the phase of the project where the owner, architect and contractor work together to define scope, schedule and cost of the entire project. Thorough and accurate evaluations during the preconstruction phase help set the owners expectations as well as identify possible efficiencies and cost savings measures that the contractor can implement when moving on to the construction phase.

In addition to cost estimating, the preconstruction team participates in design decisions, scheduling, value engineering, permitting and constructability information.

The more a preconstruction team is integrated into the early planning and design of the project to the day the owner takes delivery of the project, the better the chances that the entire team will come in on-time and on-budget.
