This revolutionary Construction and Demolition (C&D) Recycling and Transfer Facility is located in the heart of Santa Barbara. The facility opened it’s doors in 2005 and is permitted to process 1,250 tons (2,500,000 lbs.) of material per day. This metal building is over 100,000 square feet and has a large clear span for processing and sorting of materials.
Materials that enter the facility are sorted by a combination of excavators to remove large material, shakers to remove small debris and an elevated sort line to separate the remaining types of material. Both greenwaste and wood are recycled into mulch and woodchips onsite.
